Ricardo
July 2022
We would like to introduce Arbor Heights’ newest resident, Ricardo. Ricardo originally came to University Park in August of 2021 for therapy. Once he completed his therapy program, Ricardo stayed in our long-term care unit for a period of time before discharging back into the community.
As time went on, we checks in on Ricardo to make sure his needs were being met. While away from our community, Ricardo did very well and made numerous life changes for the better. Ricardo eventually crossed paths with a community Social Worker who was able to help him in many ways. “God brought her to me, and God brought me back to University Park.” Ricardo knew his path was laid out for him at this point, he could have gone anywhere.
University Park did not hesitate to welcome him back into our Assisted Living at Arbor Heights community, with open arms! “I was out on the streets and really had no where to go, God was looking out for me.”
Ricardo is so happy to be back, and everyone has welcomed him with open arms. He feels that he is here for a reason and that is to be humble, be positive, and be here for others that may need someone to talk to. He is also an advocate to help people stay positive and to lend a helping hand.
He has a very loving family, and he visits with them frequently.
We are very excited to welcome our friend, Ricardo, back to University Park and Arbor Heights!

Dale
December 2021
Dale admitted to University Park Nursing and Rehabilitation in November for extensive Physical, Occupational, and Speech Therapies. Upon coming to University Park Nursing and Rehabilitation, Dale was unable to put any weight on his legs or feet. He needed assistance in all areas of his activities of daily living.
After 27 days of hard work and support from his loving family, he was able to return home! The Therapy team and Staff played a huge role in helping Dale get Home for the Holidays.
Meals on the GO were delivered to Dale the second week of December. He is doing amazing. He is home with his wife and little dog!
Home Health was admitted him for services to assist at home.
Dale wanted everyone to know: “I have never met so many people that were there to support me to get better and go home. Danielle in Therapy was my biggest supporter along with her team. Whatever I needed, the staff was tehre to help me and they were very kind.”
University Park Nursing and Rehabilitation would like to wish Dale and his family continued success at home!

Richard Glandon
April 2021
“I like the patio and like to sit outside. I enjoy the Therapy team, they make me work hard and try to help me get better, so I can go home. I get good care here and I love to go to activities, and pick on the staff, we have a lot of fun together.”
